Six manuscript pages in blue ink signed "Jackie", written on the recto and verso of two bifolium sheets of gold embossed "The White House/Washington" stationery. Each page 6 3/4 x 4 1/4 inches. Jacqueline Kennedy as First Lady. Letter fine with usual folds, paper slightly browned as usual. Accompanied by the original postmarked envelope addressed in Mrs. Kennedy's hand See Oleg Cassini. Early in her tenure in the White House, the First Lady writes: “Jack ADORES his ties — they are so perfect — I thought I would never be able to get him pretty ties again — now that I can't go to my old haunts — but these are better than any I ever saw”.
