Advertised as the ''newly discovered'' Bonassus, the beast attracted some 200,000 spectators, including Queen Caroline and the Duke of Wellington. The Queen is shown in this print kissing the bison, who has the face of her alleged lover and former valet, Baron Bartolomeo Pergami
