This copy belonged to Cabell Breckenridge Bullock, nephew of U.S. Vice-Presidential canidate John Cabell Breckenidge.
Bullock served in the First Brigade of the kEntucky Mounted Infantry, alsoi known aas the "Orphan Brigade," commanded by John C. Breckinridge. The Orphan Brigade was in the Army of Tennessee and both Johnston and Hood commended it highly.
Bullock later published a diary, written while a prisoner of War at Camp Morton, Indianapolis.
