Lauriat of Boston, spine gilt with two morocco labels, t.e.g., gilt dentelles, marbled endpapers. Extremities slightly rubbed, internally clean, plates clean with vibrant color, minor foxing. According to the Advertisement, “The originals of the plates … were sketches made as souvenirs of the place during a visit to Scarborough, 1812. They were not intended for publication, but being found to interest many persons of taste, several of whom expressed a desire to possess engravings of them, and some gentlemen having offered to add metrical illustrations to each the present for of publication has been adopted…” The poems are by Combe, Papworth, et. al.
