Born in San Antonio, Texas, operatic tenor, Rafaelo Diaz (183-1943), was known as the “Lone Star Tenor of the Lone Star State." Praised for the depth and richness of his voice, Diaz performed lead tenor roles with the Metropolitan Opera Company from 1917-1936.
