Calling for the recognition of Henri, Comte de Chambord as Henri V, King of France. In 1830 the Comte de Chambord had accompanied his grandfather Charles X into exile following the July Revolution and Charles X's abdication in his favor. His mother, Caroline Fernande Louise, the Duchesse de Berry attempted in 1832 to win the throne for her son but was not successful. He continued to hold court in his travels and in 1871 did issue an edict as King but he did not reign.
