[New York: Peter Hooten for a class at the Center of the Book Arts, November 1984].
First edition, consisting of 5 numbered copies, signed by Merrill; this being numbered "O", and docketed in ms., “Printer's proof”. Two leaves, consisting of the title and 8-lines of text of the poem, signed in ink by “J.M”; and the colophon leaf. 1 vols. 15.3 x 10.3 cm. Fine. Without the decorative paper folder numbered copies were issued with. Hagstrom A59. Item #301192
Although only 5 numbered copies were issued, Hagstrom notes that “at least two printer’s proofs are known to exist”, but gives no description of these latter, or if they were signed. This is quite possibly a signed proof
In any case, all copies of the first, are of the utmost rarity, in any form.
