An account of Keppel's setting off from Singapore to Borneo where, with other commanders of British ships, and Sir James Brooke, Rajah of Sarawak the Borneo pirate tribes were suppressed in 1843-44. A large portion of the book consists of extracts from Brooke's journal concerning military operations against the pirates, and other material, including the geography of Borneo and accounts of its aboriginal tribes.
