Maurice G. Debonnet (1871-1946) was born in Paris, France and was an American artist in the early twentieth century. He was an etcher, oil painter, and often painted with watercolors. He was part of the Salmagundi Club in New York City, which was founded in 1871 and is one of the oldest art organizations in the United States. This variety of Debonnet's sketches and prints exemplify his interest in marine work with a range of media from ink wash, pen, graphite, lithographs, and a colorful mixed media depiction of a harbor.
