Big game fisherman Hans Hinrichs’ log of his cruiser Alone and his adventures deep sea fishing off Bimini and an extendedd account of fishing off Talar, Peru (January to March 1941), including mention of renowned fisherman Michael Lerner, New York businessman and friend of Ernest Hemingway; after the war there are succinct mentions of fishing off Montauk and other parts of Long Island, including landing a record broadbill swordfish on July 3rd 1945.
With an album of 21 photographs of the Alone, by Dormand Photos, Riverhead, N.Y. (album covers worn, photos fine).

Scrapbook of Hans Hinrichs including articles on his World record catch of a 745 pound Mako shark in 1946 on 80 pound test line (the record stood until 1963). With the George Ruppert Fishing Contest and Miami Beach Rod and Reel Club certificates, a photostat of the International Game Fishing Assocation certificate and a 1963 letter informing him that a 762 pound shark had been caught. With other certificates for trophy fish; an article by Hinrichs in Holiday about "Shinnecock Mako"; a folding chart of World Record Marine Game Fishes Chart (1947) from AMNH, his
Sportsman's Club of America membership certificate, numerous articles and sporting columns, an example of his Christmas card with art by Lynn Bogue Hunt, and 6 photographs of Hinrich with trophy fish.

An interesting chronicle of deep sea fishing adventure and record catches.
