Four photographs of Yosemite Valley by George Fiske, three of which feature members of artist Isaac Sprague’s extended family posing on horses and in a redwood forest. Yosemite-based landscape photographer George Fiske (1835-1918) apprenticed with Charles L. Weed and worked with Carleton E. Watkins. He was an early influence on Ansel Adams, who was inspired by Fiske’s photographs to visit Yosemite for the first time.
