Bruce Brown is best known for his surfing films, of which The Endless Summer (released nationally in 1966) was perhaps the most famous. He began making surfing films in the 1950s, and attempted to change the way surfers were perceived in popular culture by making documentary films that portrayed surfers as something other than "beach bums or losers"
These posters, each for a different surfing-related movie, are a fascinating look into early 1960s graphic design and representation of surfers in popular culture.
