Haghe (1806-1885) was "one of the finest lithographic draughtsmen in Europe" (ODNB) and with the printer William Day, under their "Day & Haghe" imprint, pioneered the technique of tinted lithography. This volume is drawn from Haghe's SKETCHES IN BELGIUM AND GERMANY (1840, 1845, 1850).
