With a folding map of the island and numerous wood engravings depicting Monhegan Bluffs and Block Island Bay and illustrated advertisements for hotels and ferry service. " ... one of the most attractive sources of health, rest, and pleasure that can be found upon the coast of the Atlantic" (p. 5). A popular guide now scarce in any edition.
