Item #232341

Four stained glass designs by John Hardman & Co., formerly part of Hardman, Powell & Co. The company reached great popularity in the Victorian period making ecclesiastical fittings and ornaments for churches throughout England. The firm's interest in Gothic Revival led them to stained glass production in the late 1800s in which they then produced windows for churches around the world.

These cartoons of windows are finely detailed showing the wide ranges of colors used in production. The two larger cartoons are annotated to indicate corrections of specific color choices.
