An appeal for an examination of the Elementary School education and highly recommending the Prussian system. Massachusetts House document 14 presented by the Rev. Charles Brooks, Thomas P. Beal as President with John A. Shaw and Thomas P. Rider as Secretaries. It was passed unanimously. Brooks viewing the Prussian elementary education while on a visit in 1833-4 decided to strongly recommend this system in New England. He was a strong advocate for this form and did a great deal towards improving elementary education in New England.
