The first collected edition in English of the plays of Molìere, with all but two of the translations by John Ozell (d. 1743), one of the most important translators of the first half of the 18th century. At the end of his Dedication (to the Earl of Dorset), Ozell writes "that the Misanthrope and Malade Imaginaire ... are translated by other persons, whose Names I forbear to mention, since they have thought fit to conceal themselves."
