The Sturgis catalogue of the Jarves collection (one of the most important and influential collectors of his day) is the first book by the young architect and art critic, describing the contents if the collection three years before it was acquired by Yale in 1871; it is extra-illustrated with the insertion of 2 tinted lithographed plates.
