Decree of the National Convention acknowledging the gift from the revolutionary painter David of his painting of Michel Lepelltier, and ordering that an engraving be made at the expense of the Republic. On the eve of the execution of Louix XVI, Lepelletier had been assassinated by a member of the King's private guard.
