Item #214549

First edition of Fournier's rare book bibliography, which, according to Brunet, is based on Fournier's 1796 abridgement of Cailleau's DICTIONNAIRE BIBLIOGRAPHIQUE (1790), entitled ESSAI PORTATIF DE BIBLIOGRAPHIE. Fournier's expansion of that early effort, first printed here, is itself an important predecessor to Brunet's own later CATALOGUE DU LIBRAIRE ET DE L'AMATEUR DE LIVRES.
