Most likely a Nantucket scene, depicting an older man in an explanatory or advisory role with a young girl. The man bears a resemblence to Captain Charles Myrick, a Nantucket man who appears in several of Johnson's paintings and etchings from this period. From a techical point of view this is an unusual work, etchings on tissue paper being extremely difficult to pull, and it is logical to assume that the edition, although not numbered, would consequently have been small.
