Florida: The Advantages and Inducements which it offers to Immigrants. Collected and Arranged by the secretary of the New England Emigrant Company.

Boston: Office of The Company; No. 23 Chauncy Street, February, 1868.

Second Edition. 20pp. 1 vols. 8vo. A Rare Florida Immigrants Guide. Sewn as issued. Fine. Servies, Florida Bibliography 5093; Streeter 1259 (1st ed.). Item #20052

Rare. NUC locates only one copy of the second edition (Florida State University) of this important little pamphlet, and we have found only three mentions of the first edition in any of the standard Americana references. It is not in Howes, Decker, Soliday, Eberstadt, Corse, Mead, Leps, or Sabin. Its aim is to persuade northerners to resettle in Florida, assuring them that the political climate is not dangerous and describing the quality of agriculture.
