G.K. Chesterton (1874-1936) was a writer for the Speaker and the Daily News whose first novel, The Napoleon of Notting Hill, was published in 1904, and he is best known for his Father Brown novels.
W.H. Caffyn (1870-1958) trained as a lithographer and worked in London as an ilustrator. He is perhaps best known for his advertising posters for Bovril in the early 20th century.
