Cameron, Sir David Young. 1 vols. 14 3/4 x 8 3/4. A Cameron Gargoyle. Matted and framed Item #12433
Masterful etching of a gargoyle, possibly on a Venetian church. Cameron (1865-1945) was a Scottish artist and etcher who particularly excelled in his renderings of architectural motifs. A particularly intense and dramatic example of his work.
Accompanied by two color photographs, taken in 1978 of a similar or possibly identical gargoyle, which may have been the original that Cameron depicted.
