Arthur Rackham was an English book illustrator from the 'Golden Age' of British book illustration. His illustrations were based on robust pen and India ink drawings, which he perfected with the subtle addition of watercolor. His most notable works include Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens by J.M. Barrie (1906), Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll (1907), Aesop's Fables (1912), Cinderella by Charles S. Evans (1919), and The Sleeping Beauty by Charles S. Evans (1920).
