Robert Graves was an English novelist, critic, classicist, and poet who produced more than 140 works during his life. His translations and interpretations of the the Greek myths, as well as his World War One memoir Good-Bye to All That and work on mythology The White Goddess have been consistently in print. Graves wrote historical novels such as I, Claudius, King Jesus, The Golden Fleece, The Twelve Caesars, The Golden Ass, and Count Belisarius which were and have been extremely popular.
