Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was a Scottish physician and writer well-known for his crime fiction stories about his character detective Sherlock Holmes. In addition, he was the creator of another famous character called Professor Challenger who is an irascible scientist. Doyle's most notable works are the Sherlock series, with an additional popular interest in The Lost World
