First edition. Half calf, rebacked, with new spine label. Horse portraits and dog-fight plate somewhat shaved at fore edge. With two bookplates of John Heckscher. Very good.The first two issues of this celebrated sporting periodical, with interesting provenance, from the library of John G. Heckscher: Angling is one of the sports noted in the issue, and there is a reference to Walton at p. 41, as well as a letter to the editor on “The Fishing Excursion” Heckscher Sale, 1909, Lot 1830 ($18).
