A splendid drawing showing Huck and the old Welshman sitting in the latter's parlor at the moment Huck realizes the man has seen through his story of having seen a deaf and dumb Spaniard (in reality, Injun Joe). In pencil on the lower margin and on the back of the drawing are written the words, taken from the novel, “Huck had made another terrible mistake”--presumably the picture's intended caption.
